Well, I have held my tongue all day, but this last was the tipping point.
"If you can't say anything nice....."

Today's conversation on this forum has been deafening by the total silence
of the main topic of conversation on this forum for the last couple of
weeks, namely, the Porter case. Ms Gross used up her two postings before 6
AM with no mention at all of the fact that Officer Jundra voluntarily took a
lie detector test and passed. While this does not finish the investigation
by a long shot, it certainly did prompt a some interesting quotes from the
Rev Staten and Rep Ellison.

"If you can't say anything nice" seems a bit late coming from someone who
seems to feel that officer safety is a misuse of tax money and gives the
impression that police officers lives are expendible.

Yes, the investigation is far from over. However, if the officers are
exonerated, I still am not going to hold my breath waiting for an apology
from any of the people who 'tried the police in the press' and engaged in
'public shenanogans'. This will be the third time this year that
allegations have been made against MPD, been investigaed by OUTSIDE agencies
and found to be unfounded. In the meantime, my neighborhood and others
along with the whole police dept have been put thru hell and torn apart by
our so called 'community leaders'. Shame on you all. At least have the
grace to say that you may be wrong if not sorry.

If the list manager feels this is too personal, well it ain't anywhere near
as personal as what the accused police officers and their families are going
thru.
