A police officer may or may not have used a toilet plunger on a suspect
and that suspect may or not be an police informer. I don't think most
of us have any clue as to what the truth is here.

So the city should sue the STAR TRIBUNE for . . . what?

Commentary
City should take legal action against Star Tribune
by Thomas H. Johnson III, Guest Commentary

The most recent episode of on-going accusations of
police brutality upon Black Minnesotans reached a
feverish pitch with assertions of misconduct so vile
that it was talked about in nooks and crannies throughout
our metropolitan area. This, for the first time,
appeared to shock a number of Whites that were eager
to talk about the subject. Many, though, had gone
for the baited deception readily assisted by the
daily newspaper, Star Tribune, of the victim
being an "apparent" informant.

Belligerently, the doubting Thomases of the White
community were masking their fear that a police
officer of this supposedly civilized enclave of
the United States had done such a thing. The thought
of using a toilet plunger to violate another human
anatomy is utterly repugnant, and is rivaled only
by the stories of similar barbaric acts attributed
by our President George Bush to the Saddam Hussein
regime; stories needed to gain our acquiescence, and
used to justify our invasion of Iraq, the plundering
of our national treasury, and the needless deaths of
so many young Americans in lieu of our failure to
find any WMD. Even Minneapolis Police Chief Olson
appeared outraged, and quite noble in proclaiming
that if the allegations were true, 'he' was
going to "put (the perpetrator) in the
penitentiary."
