Actually, no. White is the absence of color. As a race, what would we call "white?" Light whites like Scandinavians? Dark whites like Spaniards? Irish redheads? Or shanty Irish dark heads - like me? What is white? It's ridiculous to try to define "white." Which is why it's idiotic to be so racially divisive. "Whites" are never white, and it is the best interests of everyone that the line not be drawn so distinctly - we are all amalgams of races.
