Why not entertain the idea of using the Metrodome in the evenings for a temp shelter? Sure, a lot of games are there, but it seems that it would be big enough and don't they keep it semi-warm all the time anyways? Maybe the Viks could support something like this (if they get a new stadium!).

It is my understanding that the MPD changed there tag (slogan) from "To Serve and Protect" to "Enforce and Regulate." Seriously. I think changing it to "Courtesy, Professionalism and Respect" sounds better in theory.
