It is my understanding that the MPD changed there tag (slogan) from "To
Serve and Protect" to "Enforce and Regulate." Seriously. I think changing
it to "Courtesy, Professionalism and Respect" sounds better in theory.

For some reason, I'm drawing a blank on the image of a MPD car, but isn't the old slogan replaced by a vehicle ID number as well as a unit assignment (ie 6342 DARE). I'm thinking when they changed all of the plates to read POLICE, that the cars still needed some kind of visible ID number and that went where the 'to serve and protect' slogan use to be. Wait, now I think some police cars still do have the slogan. I'm at work way too late. Somebody call a cop shop and find out.
