disclosure- another MPS graduate post What if the MPS (or any other) system could be absolutely apolitical, neutral & exclusively focused on the "basics"? I am having a hard time imagining such a place. Are there any examples? My high school friends who went to catholic school for k-8 never described their experience as such. My college friends who went to elite private schools never claimed to have gone through such a system. My experience in MPS was not apolitical, neutral & exclusively focused on the basics. It is hard to evaluate the merits of what may very well be a Utopian abstraction. In regards to the Peace Class in schools, I actually would categorize that in a fashion similar to Mr. Atherton's evaluation of the Military Recruitment as VoTech training and put Peace Class not in a PoliSci context but rather HealthEd. Sort of like when I was in grade school and was tought that up & down brush strokes were the way to go. (though I really was more into side to side - ah, human nature) Kevin Reich Windom Park
