Keith says; Did they have a huge polar bear inside? I am not sure about that,
but my first job in Mpls. was bag boy at Franklin Fruit Market, circa 1971.
And I was lucky to have it. MAX, owned and ran it, like a friendly Jewish
tyrant. He treated flats of strawberries like newborn babies. I learned a lot there
that I was able to utilize later in life; how to pack a bag of groceries;
numero uno. Hellers Freight Railroad Salvage(?) grocery was the big competitor
nearby.

By the way, for the youngsters, and late arrivers, they were on Franklin, off
Cedar near the original Kaplan Brothers already mentioned.

Does anybody remember Max?
