Keith says; I guess it is that season again. I reached into the Archive one
year ago today to rekindle "A Flop on the Floor".
A thread that was created two year ago. As it turned out, the Musical
"FLOP!!" never got off the floor. Just as well because we sold 900% interest in the
show to the City of Mpls. Not to worry, but they sold General Revenue bonds to
cover their purchase price. They were ready to rip the seating out of the
Schubert so the audience would be seated on mats for the Premier. It did cost a
bundle to cancel THAT contract with the Love Temple mat leasing folks. Anyway,
we struck the set, and Jim Graham, my fellow 'producer' , has moved on, for now.

Herewith, from The List Archive, two posts: Ladiessssss and
Gentlemen......................

Keith says; This "flop on the floor" may be, dollar for dollar, the most
egregious act of Non-Profiteering, masquerading as "Do-goodin" !! It reminds
me that poetry is often the most concentrated form of writing. Victoria H.
created this poem; she was my muse for the second stanza.

The proposed "shelter" in Seven Corners is for 25 able-bodied,
middle-aged, working men. At considerable cost to the taxpayers,
each man will get a mat on the floor. The most recent
calculation is $550 per month per mat.

I wrote this little poem to lighten up the debate:

     Mirror, mirror, in my hand,
They say this mat costs $50 grand,
But your cost will be much clearer
If you get a full length mirror. >>

 Keith adds;

Mirror; reason. Cracked and broken. The mat I rest on; but a token.
$50 grand was taxed and spent; Non Profiteer fees unmonitored went.
Whittier , Phillips; homeless havens. Cash flows to Non-Profiteer mavens.

#2--[Mpls] Bad poetry contest about serious ...The Musical

Keith says; Can't talk now cause I am busy with the Libretto. The PRODUCERS,
Jimmy G. and I, expect a musical, based on our poetry, to be out this SPRING.

It shall describe, in song, the whacky waffling of a city government in
Minnesota, perhaps New Germany. These fictional municipal leaders scheme to
herd people into institutionalized neighborhoods; concentrating all manner of
victimizers with all manner of vulnerable individuals, including the simple
homesteaders who struggle to survive there.

A romp, with plenty of singing and happy Non-Profiteers in tights, slinging
sacks of cash. I hope to draft RT for the lead role and smiley face. The tug
of "do-gooodin" civic duty will make the part irresistible to this great
amateur actor in our midst. If it works out, we will next stage a customized,
one man (RT) production of The Vagina Monologues. 900% of profits to be
donated to
the current legal battle between the inner city and Non-Profiteering NDCs.
