Face it folks we are now paying for our past city council's failure to curb
it's spending habits. We are also paying for our current city council's
misguided attempt to play the blame game onto the state, and they are afraid
to address the real issues and focus on the right priories.
The state and Governor are doing their job and being responsible in their
fiscal spending habits. Do I agree with every thing they do, no! Do I
think they aren't addressing the real issues in the education system, yes!
This also applies to our weak kneed Minneapolis School Board that couldn't
find water if they fall out of the boat in the middle of the Mississippi.
There is plenty of blame to go around to all parties (yes I mean parties)
for the piss poor fiscal policies of Minneapolis government. It's way past
time for our elected officials to stop the blind power hungry ambition and
serve the public. We will continue to have public housing issues, murders
on the Northside, a bad infrastructure, crappy education, a regressive
business climate, and so on and so on ... if we don't start electing people
to office that will focus on the problems and focus on solid solutions.
