Pawlenty and a majority of Republicans followed the siren song of the Minnesota Taxpayers League ... financed for the rich by the rich. The "no tax pledge" was intellectually dishonest when the Taxpayers League lobbied against school referenda in 2001 and remained the same in the last general election.
