Speaking only from my own experience..... I know quite a few democrats that got pushed out of the party because of one stance or another. They became Republicans, and some decided to run have received our endorsement. They enjoy a good deal of friendship and respect among the other party members that I know. I can see were some people can get the cold shoulder from some folks, but I have seen it on both sides. I have seen were elected Republicans have jumped ship and have not enjoyed a very warm reception by the rank and file (only my experience from observing DFL conventions). Steve Sumner Waite Park
