I wasn't. He overstayed his welcome, becoming more tepid every year. If in his last year he was the best in the Senate, it shows how far we have declined. His decline, and that of many others the longer they are siren-songed by lobbyists, add significantly to the argument for term limits. The whole aim of the ruling class re legislators is to corrupt them. Best to bring in fresh relatively untainted blood regularly.
