Who, exactly, is "we?" Such things are not trivial in cost. What is the source of the cash? <snip> >It is a brave new idea to bring local content back to the many commercial radio stations around the state that now carry only national network programming and ignore local and state matters.< Oh, brave new idea that...never mind. Actually, KSTP-AM (Hubbard Broadcasting, an evil corporate entity) has been doing this for years with the Joe Soucheray show and T.D. Mischke's broadcast, among others. >Neal Krasnoff: What do you consider "extreme rightwing topics"? Wendy writes: anything that is carried for 15 hours per week on the Limbaugh show, or hannity, or Savage Nation, 24 hours per day on "The Patriot." < Anything? I've listened to very little of the Savage show, and only a bit of Hugh Hewitt. But Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh talk about pretty much every political topic of national interest. Are you restricting yourself to only topics they don't discuss? <snip> >I prefer to focus on why our congress isn't creating jobs for my neighbor guy, my brother-in-law, the best man from our wedding, and another of my best friends... < Uh, Wendy...it's not Congress' role to create jobs. At best, they can influence conditions which affect job creation. Evil corporate entities and entrepreneurs create jobs. <snip> >... it never ceases to surprise me how the radical right wing want to shut up and shoot down the average guy who wants to discuss what's important to him/her.< Gosh...Is Janet Roberts radical right wing? Or was your predecessor as host not an "average guy?" She pretty much shut him down from discussing what was important to him. --M. G. Stinnett Jordan REMINDERS: 1.
