Olson is not heading out because he was weak on fighting crime. He's heading
out because his community relations skills are nonexistent and he hasn't
been able to deal with brutality issues to the satisfaction of the
community. McManus apparently has similar crime fighting skills to Olson and
going by his track record, he's way better on community relations and has a
history of taking police brutality seriously and not tolerating it.

In other words, he's an improvement.

          Why don't we think him more an extension than an improvement "?
          Olsen hs displayed good skill in management and superb skill in politics. Good for him! An adroit man.
          McManus seems to wear the same cloth. Good for him. Let's not hold him to some light that wasn't shone on his predecessors.
          Let him work.  Then shine the light.
     Police Chief is murky stuff, let's give him some air.
