At the suggestion and with encouragement from a number of neighborhood activists I have started a e-discussion list focusing on NRP. ...and you are invited to join it.
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of the Mpls Issues list and think it is very valuable to civic discourse in this city. It is my hope that this NRp list will offer another forum for those more specifically interested in discussions centering on NRP and its related acivities. Experienced Issues list members could help set a positive tone from the beginning. The Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Discussion Group is an independent email group established to provide a forum for open and honest discussion about the NRP. It is open to any and all interested people including neighborhood association members, community activists, NRP Policy Board members, neighborhood and NRP staff and volunteers. It is intended to improve communication, inspire collaboration, stimulate critical thinking and lead to better neighborhoods, a better NRP and a better city. This group is not officially associated or connected with the City of Minneapolis government or NRP in anyway, except that it was established by me, an elected NRP Policy Board Neighborhood Representative.
