I'm neither a journalist nor an elected official, but
I ride the bus!

(And I'm a Republican too, how about that!)

I ride from Phillips to the Capitol twice a day, five
days a week. It takes at least one transfer,
depending on the route. It's been a little
uncomfortable lately with the wind, but overall it's
not a bad deal.

Previously, when I had daily classes at the U., I
ALWAYS rode my bike or walked. It was much-much faster
than the darn #2 which is my least favorite line due
to lateness, earliness, and plain infrequency.

On the rare occasion when I have been compelled to
drive in rush hour traffic, my resolve to bus/bike was
strengthened. I cannot imagine going through the
headache and mess of a rush hour commute twice a day
every day. How can people tolerate it??
