The St. Paul Pioneer Press front page today has a front page piece by David Hawley called "Stories written in stone." It's a story of three African Americans (maybe the first three African Americans) to be buried in Minnesota at Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetary in Phillips Neighborhood. Very interesting. Kudos to Sue Hunter Weir, Sue Anderson, and their merry band of history sleuths and preservationsits.
