Jim McGuire states, in part, regarding the opening of Franklin Street
Bakery:
> Yes, folks, while they
> were planning for their new tasty truffles they were busy telling workers
> they'd close if they organized.

Maybe, but sometimes a job without union representation beats no job.
Everyone is trying to get by, and often that includes the business owner who
risks private capital to create jobs and provide wanted products and
services in the neighborhood. It's not easy raising adequate capital and
operating funds, finding good employees, making payroll and covering other
numerous costs regularly, growing earnings and paying myriad taxes to local,
state and federal authorities consistently- especially in difficult economic
times. Best of luck to Franklin Street Bakery- owners and employees!
