Although I am a firm believer in unions, I agree that some employers are
definitely ahead of the curve when it comes to labor relations.  The best
example of that is the Andersen Window Corp in Bayport, MN.  Its founder,
Hans Andersen, really set the tone for a cooperative work place with profit
sharing, safety committees and excellent rewards for suggestions.

Unfortunately, they are the ONLY example I have run across and now that the
family is no longer running the corp who knows what direction labor
management may be taking.  I was there 30 years ago.
