Rather than quote a number of different posts on this subject, I'd like to respond to those who
1) question whether Allina employees will interact with commercial establishments: As a few have pointed out, don't make the assumption that all Allina employees are suburbanites. When I worked for the original Allina (the merged organizations of Medica and HealthSpan), many of the HealthSpan employees were residents of Minneapolis and (gasp) St Paul. Moreover, don't assume that all suburbanites live in fear of Minneapolis and/or the Powderhorn area. It's simply not the case. But it sure makes for comfortable spoofing. 2) forget where Allina originated: A fair number of staff are from the old LifeSpan ... which officed in the Abbott campus or by Loring Park. Some are from the old HealthOne organization ... which primarily officed by Metro Medical Center (now HCMC) and the former Mt Sinai. (A very small portion of the corporate offices also were in Brooklyn Center) In a very real sense, Allina is simply coming home. Rick Mons Shoreview REMINDERS: 1.
