Ed Fessler submitted a sample resolution to be introduced at caucuses regarding the transit strike. It ended thusly:

We declare that business as usual must come to a halt until the transit strike is over.

[JM] I have to say that I agree with every word of the resolution. However, I don't think it's realistic to submit a resolution calling for, essentially, a general strike. Mind you, a general strike might be a good idea (that's a whole nother discussion), but I don't think it's going to fly.

On top of that (again, reading "no business as usual" as a call to a general strike (or even other actions to impair business) it could be construed as "Criminal Syndicalism" under Minnesota law.

I'd suggest rephrasing that part of the resolution.
