RESOLUTION:

Whereas traffic congestion has been identified as the main concern in a
Metropolitan Council study which polled Twin Cities area residents,

Whereas air quality alerts for the Twin Cities have increased in number
as well as level of severity with each passing year,

Whereas the cost of parking remains a barrier to the vitality of our
downtown business development,

Whereas existing transit systems (including bus, light rail, commuter
rail and automobiles) require an annual operating subsidy from the tax
payers pocket,

Whereas an alternative mass transit plan exists using the Sky Web
technology of the Taxi2000 company,

And, Whereas this system produce zeros emissions in operation, leaves no
parking problems behind, uses on one fourth of the BTUs per passenger
mile, requires no yearly subsidy from taxpayers, takes up virtually no
footprint and operates 24/7,

Therefore, Be it resolved that the __________________Party supports , in
concept, Mpls City Council Member Dean Zimmermann's 68 Station
Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) Plan for the City of Minneapolis.
