I'm terribly disappointed by the Transit Union. With adversaries like Pawlenty and Bell you need guts and brains, the Union seems to have neither.WM: This is just tripe. How many bus drivers do you know who can understand the ins and outs of public relations beyond caring for their passengers? ATU 1005 has have sense enough to know that their skills don't fall into those categories and have decided to ask for help.
The Saturday before the strike one of the bus drivers told me that the Union had just hired a PR firm.
So this is what the American labor movement has come to. Lame and ineffective tactics dictated touchy feely consultants. The transit workers ought to be more concerned about results rather than image.
