While driving downtown esterday, I had my first experience turning
down 5th Street from Third Avenue. There were two cars ahead of me
also making that same turn. Both ended up driving on the "track"
portion of the street. One had Illinois tags ... the other was a
Minnesota vehicle.

A major part of the problem is the lack of signage. If the driver
isn't familiar with LRT and how 5th street is a major corridor
downtown, the unfamiliar driver will simply assume that 5th Street is
just like any other street. Seems that better signage would make more
sense ... or making 5th Street an exclusive LRT-only thoroughfare.
