What the original article didn't state:
http://www.startribune.com/stories/368/4684144.html
"At Wednesday's Central Corridor Partnership news conference, Senkler and Dowell said
the group doesn't have a funding solution for regional mass transit. But by this fall,
they said, they hope to identify possible revenue streams. Senkler said the discussion
is likely to include talk of a metrowide sales tax or increase in the gas tax."

Great, more taxes. That's always the answer.

This is pretty cool. But it won't do much good without buses getting back up
and running.

I hope this Central Corridor Partnership will get behind Rep. Hornstein's
bill to restore transit funding and make up some of the gap between ATU and
Met Council so this thing can get settled.

Or maybe some of our state senators should start playing Pawlenty's game.
He's got stuff he wants passed this session, right? Tell him if he's going
to continue to blow off the transit strike, his initiatives will get treated
in the same manner.
