I have friend whose family is looking into selling their very large home to a developer to convert to condominiums. Part of the family is opposed to the condo project and wanted to know what legal restictions are in place that could prevent it. Must such a project be approved by the neighborhood association? (If not at least to keep good faith with your new neighbors.)
Also, how would someone go about finding is a home is historic? You could pay someone or dig though file records at the Central Library, how about the cities 800 list? What are the historic districts currently in place?
