While one not agree with him on his support of PRT,
linking him with Rep. Mark Olson and Sen. Michelle
Bachmann (both hard shell conservatives) is grossly
unfair.

I am uncertain to my own support of PRT, but believe
it could be a possible solution to our transit needs.
At this point anything could be a solution to our
transit needs!

I have worked with legislators I disagree with on
numerous issues in an effort to pass important
legislation. I can honestly tell folks that some of
these legislators positions on other issues disturb me
and are at odds with my own values. I also work with
legislators I agree with 99% of the time, but their
support alone will not help to pass legislation. The
Republicans have 81 seats in the house and the
Democrats 53, and in the Senate Democrats have 35
seats, Republicans 31, and Independence 1, simple
arithmetic will tell you that it is impossible to pass
legislation with support of only one party. Yes, you
still need a majority.

Not only is the criticism of Dean Zimmerman unfair, it
gives him no credit for trying to build realistic
support for passing legislation.
