Barbara
Thanks for the stats.
Can you elaborate for us on the TAD revenue bonds? I am familiar with the ramps, but
not with how these bonds would be funded.
Do the alcohol tax and hospitality tax cover downtown areas of the city, the whole
city, or the county?
What areas will be paying the added car rental tax?
What I do not see in these numbers is the selling of the naming rights for the
stadium? Who gets the money from that?
While these proposed funding schemes do not have Mpls paying much directly, there
seems to be plenty paid indirectly.
My own belief is that this stadium is a business expense and thus should be paid for
by the team or its owner. Carl's share of these costs are not nearly enough for me to
get off my no taxpayer stadium soapbox. When the taxpayer portion of this facility is
about 1/4 or less of the total I will shut my mouth and pay for my share of that.
Again, thank you for your numbers.

Met. Sports Commission - $6,000,000

So, those of you who are espouse public ownership of
this team and stadium care to tell us where the
additional $524M is going to come from to build it?
How about on-going operating and maintenance costs?

The above plans only takes a direct to hit to the
city's budget for 1.5% of the costs.
