Subject: Precinct caucuses
Didn't Bob Dylan call politics "social clubs in drag disguise?" Wasn't he describing a typical DFL convention where we carefully endorse an incumbent then (time permitting) discuss a platform? As a prodigal son who returned to the DFL caucuses this year and stepped aside as all the delegate and alternate positions in my precinct were filled with eager and energetic young people, I would be disappointed if I were not able to become a delegate to the municipal caucuses next year. I was content to vote for a presidential choice and applaud the idealism of the next generation this year, but it was my understanding that I would have the opportunity to fully participate next year. I would consider it a serious breach of contract if that were not the case. Ed Felien Powderhorn REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
