My friend who wanted to know is one of the residents in the Winslow House and probably one of the "constituants on the east side of the river whose opinions matter".
One thing that really bothered him was that no one seemed to really *know* what was going to happen in the fragile limestone bluffs, but if the thing goes through, it's going to be happening for 50 years on the lease with a renewable 50 more on extension. It would be hard to lose even part of the Stone Arch Bridge, and apparently that will need shoring up on the east end--oops, or extending. Which is it? I don't have the impact assessment in my possession and only had time to scan it. Emilie Quast SE Como (but not one of Walt's important people, sorry to say) REMINDERS: 1.
