CM Natalie Johnson-Lee continues to push the City of Minneapolis to
be more inclusive in regards to communities of color getting a
piece of the economic wealth in Minneapolis-THANK YOU.

Before Friday's vote, Ryan agreed to increase its goals
for minority contractors at the site from a
12 to a 13 percent target. The company also will
seek to hit an 11 percent target for female contractors.

Those numbers weren't good enough for
Council Member Natalie Johnson Lee, who was the
only vote or speaker against the project.
"I have to kind of stop the lovefest for a little bit," she said,
adding in reference to the numbers: "I think you
could come up to the table a little bit stronger."
