Voting to kill the Crown Hydro deal: Young, Erwin, Dziedzic, Berry Graves,
Mason.

Voting to keep it: Hauser, Fine, Kummer, Olson.

Contrary to the impression that Annie Young's message leaves with me that Walt Dziedzic moved the vote, I'm 99% sure that the events unfolded this way:

1. President Jon Olson's vocal chords barely stopped vibrating from moving the agenda along to the Crown Hydro item when,
2. Bob Fine pounced and immediately said "I move we approve the lease."
3. Fine barely finished speaking when two women both said they seconded that motion. My impression is that those two women were Marie Hauser and Carol Kummer, but it's possible amongst the confusion of several people speaking at once, it was someone else.
4. There was the slightest pause while a few people muttered in surprise out of Rules of Order, but before Olson could ask for any discussion,
5. Walt Dziedzic "called the question."
6. A vote was taken on Dziedzic's call, and all voted Yes.
7. A roll call vote was taken in this order -- the order being critical since the lease required 6 yes votes to pass:

Rochelle Berry Graves: No
Walt Dziedzic: No
John Erwin: No
Bob Fine: Yes
Marie Hauser: Yes
Carol Kummer: Yes
Vivian Mason: No
Annie Young: No
Jon Olson: Yes

There was a large contingent of citizens interested in this vote present. It's a safe bet that the vast majority were opposed. Once the vote was final and the dust settled, and the meeting moved on, most of the audience left.

More to report tomorrow when I have time.
