Brutality, in what ever form, is unacceptable. The day to day beating, killing , abuse and neglect that citizens inflict upon each other is appalling. Police Brutality is not much different, a reflection of the values of the greater community.
To do something about it requires decisions and action based on facts. Tell me, are the more police brutality complaints under Chief McManus tenure YTD than under Chief Olson? Or are decision and/or votes based on those incidents reported in just this forum? If so the consequences are rather easy to project. What if not? Comments aside to employees, Chief McManus has stated both in public and private that he has a high standard of expected conduct. He wishes all officers to treat citizens as if members of family. If the allegations are true as allege, the Chief will take the appropriate action. But it requires a process and this takes time. Greg Reinhardt Excelsior. REMINDERS: 1.
