Or we can simply ban it and not worry about the expense and upkeep of a
technical fix. We have in essence banned marijuana by making it illegal and
people seem to be able to find plenty of private places to indulge their
habit. Let smokers do the same where they only endanger themselves and not
their waiters, waitresses, bartenders and fellow patrons. It has certainly
seemed to work for Macdonalds.

And before someone jumps in with "but marijuana is illegal" let's bear in
mind that alcohol is legal and yet it's use is severely limited and often
banned in places where we still seem to permit smoking. I don't see any
drinking areas outside of offices and buildings and I have seen people
arrested who are sitting in a bus stop imbibing from a paper bag regardless
of whether they are inebriated or not. Try walking out of the bar with that
drink in your hand and see how far you get.

And between tobacco and alcohol, there have been found to be some positive
health effects from LIMITED use of alcohol while ANY AMOUNT of smoking is
immediately detrimental to our bodies.

The time for a ban has arrived!
