What has always puzzled me is what interest Dick Day has in the inner
workings and quality of life of Minneapolis and the metro area. What
standing does he have? Of course he is a state representative and he
votes on bills that have relevance to Mpls. But his fixation on the
nitty-gritty details of our daily lives is grossly misplaced. It would be
like Phyliss Kahn obsessing over corn and ethanol subsidies and the
day-to-day operations of grain elevators and individual farms. Aside from
looking at the state budget and general agricultural and trade policies
she chooses to direct her time to issues that directly affect Minneapolis
residents.

Dick, let me send you a message. Stick to the highway between Owatanna
and St.Paul; concern yourself with the schools in Owatanna. Look out for
the overall good of the state and don't overstep your responsibilites when
it comes to Minneapolis.
