That would be a welcome change from the implication that the Civil Rights Department exists only for anyone other than members of the "protected classes".

Protecting citizens from the tyranny of a central government has my support.
If she is against amending a constitution - thereby providing a check and a
balance against lawless, renegade members of the judicial branch - then she
is mistaken. You are correct, until she answers the question herself, this
is all speculation.

I took it that she was referring to the anti-gay amendment to the constitution. Interpreting the Massachusetts constitution is what the Massachusetts judges were asked to do. Mayor Rybak had told me that she would never be quoted in the paper the way former civil rights director in St Paul - Bob Battle was - something to the effect that gays were "hijacking" the civil rights movement.

I'm curious whether Krasnoff would make the same criticism of Hennepin County Judge Deborah Hedlund - who ruled about 10 years ago that the Minneapolis ordinance offering domestic partnership benefits was against the state law. Was she a "lawless renegade" member of the judiciary. Funny. Somehow I missed the MFC press release on that topic.

It's also abundantly clear that most of those criticizing the Massachusetts decision have not read the decision.

I'm looking forward to meeting Ms Khalifa. When I do get the chance to meet her, I'll ask her what she meant.

Saying creationism deserves equal time with the theory of evolution in the classroom is like saying I deserve equal time with Pavarotti at the Sydney Opera House.
