The websites Jeremy Hanson listed (see snips of his post below my sig) are a
wealth of information about this issue.

I urge list members to check these sites out for vital information regarding
the way that big tobacco sets up front groups for lobbying and manipulation
of public perception (or, more simply put, lying and deception).

I also urge our Mayor and City Council and reps to the State Legislature to
resist the inevitable armtwisting, intimidation, and seduction which will
come from the big tobacco industry as it fights for its life as a purveyor
of mass death and disease through addiction to its toxic products.
