Hi all- I'm writing with a last-minute announcement/reminder about the Grand Opening of the Karamu Neighborhood Market, which is Saturday June 26 -- that's tomorrow!! The market will run from 8 am - 1 pm, with speakers and entertainment -- including the Wain McFarlane jazz band! -- starting at 9. The location is 1312 Penn Ave. N, in the raised parking lot just north of the Urban League (across from Pilot City Health Center). Customer parking is at the Southwest corner of the intersection of Penn & Plymouth (the site of the old McDonald's). I hope to see all of you there -- it should be a beautiful morning and a great chance to get out, hear some music, buy some food, and celebrate all of the great things going on on the Northside.
