<< I just heard about another turn of events. This week, about 200 MPS
elementary teachers with high seniority who also were licensed in other areas
have been reassigned to the other license area jobs, regardless of whether or
not they have experience in those areas or an interest in working in those
areas... >>

The teachers need to be at the next board meeting with picket signs, and
demand that the board rescind the above-mentioned reassignments and the layoff
notices to 600 teachers and 100 teachers aids, and instruct the administration to
comply with provisions of the law and collective bargaining agreements
relating to reassignments and layoffs.

Audrey Johnson and David Jennings have openly called for stripping the
teachers of their seniority and tenure rights, and none of the other board members
have dissented. And none of the board members have spoken out against Jenning's
previous assaults against the rights of union members. And they are not
acting out of concern 4 the kids. Schools that are run like banana republics /
nonunion sweatshops are not going to do a good job of educating the students.
