The University of Minnesota student-run clinic is a joint partnership between the Academic Health Center, the Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC), and Oliver Church.
The mission of the clinic is to provide accessible, culturally appropriate health care services to persons who are underinsured and unstably housed, and to provide health professional students with the opportunity to effectively and caringly serve people who are underinsured and unstably housed.
The clinic is a walk-in service offered Monday evenings from 6pm until 9pm (last patient at 8:30) and offers a generous sliding scale (up to 100% discount) based on income. It is fully staffed by over 100 volunteers.
The location is 2647 Bloomington Ave S, in the basement of Oliver Church. The phone number is 612/724-1690.
Services offered include:
Primary and acute health care for all adults and children (A pediatrician or family
practitioner is in clinic every night the clinic is open)
Immunizations, well-child checkups, urgent illness care, rapid HIV testing,
pregnancy testing, family planning, emergency contraception
Limited pharmacy services are available on-site
Physical therapists are available on-site every night the clinic is open
Referrals for social services are available
Additionally, Spanish interpreters are available every night the clinic is open.
