Join teachers, parents & students who will protest excessive layoffs & 'realignment' of the district's teaching staff Picketing begins at 3:30 (bring your own picket sign) Press Conference at 4:00 - 4:15 A regular meeting of the school board begins at 4:00PM in the 3rd floor assembly room. Everyone is encouraged to attend the board meeting, not to disrupt, just to have a presence. MPS teachers beware: If you received a layoff notice, it may be necessary to file a *timely* grievance in order to preserve your tenure rights in the event your job is not cut.
