I urge the teachers who are organizing the rally / press conference on July 13 to ask the board to approve a resolution along the lines of the draft resolution that I have proposed. I might do additional revisions this evening, then leave it alone. I will consider publishing "hostile" amendments at my web site, along with motivations for them and a note explaining why I do not recommend the amendment.
I have already overhauled the draft resolution that I emailed a short time ago. There is one big change in the substance of the resolution: A point about potential shortages of minimally qualified teachers in some areas and poor match ups of teachers and teacher jobs because of the district's plans to offer to rehire at least 398 teachers that have been fired. The resolution in its current form is at http://members.tripod.com/educationright/id349.htm -Doug Mann, King Field Minneapolis school board candidate www.educationright.com - REMINDERS: 1.
