I urge the teachers who are organizing the rally / press conference on July 
13 to ask the board to approve a resolution along the lines of the draft 
resolution that I have proposed. I might do additional revisions this evening, then 
leave it alone. I will consider publishing "hostile" amendments at my web 
site, along with motivations for them and a note explaining why I do not recommend 
the amendment.

I have already overhauled the draft resolution that I emailed a short time 
ago. There is one big change in the substance of the resolution: A point about 
potential shortages of minimally qualified teachers in some areas and poor 
match ups of teachers and teacher jobs because of the district's plans to offer to 
rehire at least 398 teachers that have been fired.
