Diane Loeffler ( the DFL/Labor endorsed candidate) would be my choice
to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Len Biernat. I met Diane through
one of her efforts to jump in and get a group organized, and have crossed
paths with her at public input meetings for my "pet issue" the MPRB.

Given the continual financial beating Minneapolis is getting from the
folks at the capitol, Diane's mastery of the state budget process,
complex finance formulas and property tax laws will serve all of
Minneapolis well. More than most new legislators, Diane will be effective
in
navigating a session that will have the state facing another giant
budget shortfall. She'll be able to hold her own in tough negotiations
on the formulas that determine what is adequate funding for our schools,
cities, counties, parks, libraries, etc.. and won't shift the burden onto
an already regressive property tax system. The budget is just one area
where
Diane has experience and great ideas, but best of all Diane is a team
player
and knows that you need to connect both sides of the aisle to get
effective
governing accomplished.

Diane has worked hard volunteering to make Northeast Minneapolis better
and will do a great job for all of us as a legislator. Please check out
Diane in depth at http://www.dianeloeffler.com and then contact me and
I'll give you a chance to pitch in and help get Diane elected to the
legislature.
