Hello Folks, Please attend this event tomorrow evening!
Thank you! Ken Bradley : Tomorrow Night! SPECIAL EVENT INVITATION: "Green Green Water" Fundraising Party! Tuesday, July 20, 2004, 7:30 PM TWIN CITIES FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE 1725 GRAND AVENUE, ST. PAUL, MN State Rep. Karen Clark, Honor The Earth, the Twin Cities Friends Meeting (Quakers), and others invite you, our ME3 JustEnergy activists, to a fundraiser to make the film "GREEN GREEN WATER" a reality. With your help, award-winning filmmakers Dawn Mikkelson, Jamie Lee, and 5-time Emmy award-winner James Fortier will finish shooting the film in Manitoba this summer. "GREEN GREEN WATER" is an important documentary film that will shed light on the issues faced by Cree Nations in northern Manitoba as a result of hydroelectric development. By telling their first-hand stories throughout this film, Cree communities hope to establish negotiating leverage with Manitoba Hydro and within Minnesota. The Cree want to create solutions to the problems caused by Manitoba Hydro's large-scale hydroelectric dams built on their land; for many, this project brings hope. People in these communities expect the documentary film crew to return in August . COME TO THE PARTY! * Meet the filmmakers * Watch a preview of the film * Bid on an item at the silent auction, and * Make a tax-deductible donation to get this feature length documentary film finished. Please note: donors of $100 or more will have their names listed in the film's credits! For information, visit the film's website: <http://www.greengreenwater.com/> or call Diane at 651-653-4385.
