Minneapolis Schools' Facilities Planning Team Announces Initial Meetings
Community invited to share input on school closing criteria


Minneapolis, Minn.-The facilities planning team assisting Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) in the development of scenarios for future building use has scheduled six initial meetings to solicit community input. The community may attend any of the following meetings to provide input on criteria that planners should consider in school closing scenarios:


Thursday, July 29: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Green Central Park School

Tuesday, August 3: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, August 4: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Burroughs Community School

The independent consulting team will review building and site uses; assess building systems, scheduling and related cost issues; and analyze demographics and enrollment data. The community is invited to e-mail the planning team at [EMAIL PROTECTED]


Additional meetings are being planned for August and will be announced soon. Members of the Community Engagement Consultant Collaborative will attend all meetings. The school district's web site will be regularly updated to reflect scheduled meetings: http://www.mpls.k12.mn.us
