FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

David Dayhoff--candidate for Minneapolis School Board--has picked up the
endorsement of the 5th Congressional District Independence Party. Dayhoff,
who also has been endorsed by the Minneapolis Republicans and the Log Cabin
Republicans, is running an aggressive campaign to win one of three seats on
the School Board up for election this year.

"My endorsement by the Independence Party provides the backing of another
group committed to vigorous reform of Minneapolis Public Schools," Dayhoff
observed. "I believe my approach to developing independence, accountability
and innovation in schools across the city will begin the process of turning
our schools around and bringing back the students and parents that have lost
confidence in Minneapolis Public Schools' ability to provide an adequate
education"
