I was worried about changes to the 14 but hadn't really looked into it (I don't start riding the bus again for at least 2 more months), so I'm glad to hear that it will switch to going down 38th street - the little clump of businesses on 38th & 22nd(?) Ave is one of my more frequent stops. But there was already an east-west bus along 38th street, so you're right about the change being totally to fake support for the light rail, and of course it's terrible for people who depended on the old route.

Which actually is one of the biggest strengths of rail/subway as opposed to buses: they can never change the route on you. We bought our house largely based on it being served by several bus lines - but of course Metrotransit could have just as well decided to stop the 14 at Lake street as at 38th and we would have had nothing to do about it except walk the extra distance in the winter.

On that note - a streetcar next to the greenway would be awesome, if it had enough access ramps and some way to get to it without streetcar riders standing in clumps blocking the greenway, and if there was enough neighborhood/police presence to make it safe at night.
