Just received a press release (at work) from the New
Hope police that is likely to be of interest:

NEW HOPE POLICE DEPARTMENT

July 22, 2004

PRESS RELEASE

On Monday, July 19th, at approximately 5:28PM, the New
Hope Police Department received a complaint of a woman
walking door-to-door in the 8200 block of 28th Av. N.
removing campaign literature and replacing it with
other campaign literature.

Officers responded and located a person fitting the
description. After conducting a preliminary
investigation, officers issued a citation to Phyllis
Ann Kahn, 67 years old, of Minneapolis. The offense
cited was a violation of city ordinance.

The New Hope PD later determined the charges on the
citations were inappropriate for the alleged actions.
The citation was dismissed. The case has been
referred to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office to
review for possible charges.
