Mary Elizabeth Lease MINNEAPOLIS PARK & RECREATION BOARD SOLICITS PUBLIC INPUT ON RESTORATION PLANS FOR GLUEK PARK Restoration will follow Environmental Protection Agency clean up at the park Minneapolis, Minnesota . . . . July 15, 2004 . . . The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) has scheduled a public input session to discuss restoration plans for Gluek Park. The public input session will take place at: Bottineau Park 2000 Second Street N. E. Minneapolis, MN 55413 Wednesday, July 28 2004 6:30 pm Gluek Park is part of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean-Up Project for asbestos-containing vermiculite found in soils in North Minneapolis. The EPA is in charge of the clean up project. Clean up plans and engineering studies of the river bank soils are currently underway. Restoration and aesthetic improvements to the park will be completed by Minneapolis Park & Recreation staff and design consultants.
