Violence affects all of us...because we live in one ward (with airport noise) does not mean that we are not affected by the violence. Minneapolis is a community in which people move freely and I am in Wizard's central area more than my own. Yes, I was disappointed that Sandy Colvin Roy did not go on the bus tour. To me, it is her job to know what is going on in all communities that the citizens deem important, as well as her own. But if everyone thought it was a photo op...why bother?
Less than two years ago, several gang members got out of jail and started to slice up turf and gain control of the Lake Street area which was a major concern to workers in the area. No one should live in violence and as citizens...what do you want us to do? Wizard, I pose this question to you...how can we help you with the crime problem when the police and everyone else seems to be lacking/overwhelmed at solving the problem. Let the list know what involvement you feel should be taking place here in Minneapolis by the citizens to rectify the problem. Dorie Rae Gallagher Nokomis REMINDERS: 1.
